What picpins is

picpins is an online editor that lets you tag images — directly in the browser. Points, rectangles, ellipses or polygons, depending on whether you want to mark a spot or an entire area. Behind every marker sits a tooltip you build like in a modern block editor: heading, paragraph, button, image, video, price tag. When the image is ready, you publish it and share it via link or embed it on your own site with two lines of code. It works in any browser, on any device, with no plugin or framework needed on the receiving end.

What picpins is not

Not a photo editor like Photoshop. You do not retouch the image itself. picpins puts an interactive layer on top of your photo — the original file stays untouched. Also not a 3D or virtual tour tool. These are classic 2D images with markers on top, fast to produce, easy to embed anywhere.

How picpins feels day to day

You upload an image, the editor opens directly in your browser. Markers and their content auto-save the moment you change anything. No save button to hunt for, no risk of losing work. When you are done, you publish the project and either share a link or embed the image on your own site.

Markers are positioned proportionally relative to the image, so they sit in the same spot on every screen — be it a 27-inch monitor or a phone. Nothing to maintain twice.
