In the Jimdo editor "+ Add element", choose Widget/HTML, paste the code, check preview.
Jimdo comes in two flavors: Jimdo Creator (the classic, freely customizable editor) and Jimdo Dolphin (the AI-driven, simpler builder). Both support HTML embeds with minor differences.
In the editor click + Add element at the desired position. In the menu under More elements you find the Widget / HTML element. Click it, the element is placed on the page.
Paste the embed code into the opened code field, click "Save". The interactive image appears immediately in preview mode.
Dolphin is built for simplicity and has fewer custom options. The HTML element is under Add Block → Embed Code. Functionally the same as Creator: paste the code, save, visible.
If your Jimdo site originally started in Dolphin and you need more flexibility, you can switch to Creator when creating a new page — the old Dolphin site keeps running in parallel.
Jimdo gives the HTML element a default height that is often too small for hotspot images with tooltips. In Creator you can set the height in pixels in the element inspector (300–800 px depending on image size).
In Dolphin the height is less flexible — workaround: optimize the embed container in your picpins image to a smaller height or pick a tooltip position that does not overflow the container.
Jimdo shows a toggle for Desktop/Tablet/Mobile in the editor. Embed height often renders differently on mobile. Check in mobile mode, set height for the mobile variant separately if needed.

On the free plan of Jimdo Creator the Widget/HTML element is available — embed works. However Jimdo shows its own ads on the page. To remove them you need a paid plan.
On Jimdo Dolphin Free, HTML embedding is more restricted. Test briefly first if in doubt.
Creator is the classic drag-and-drop editor with many customization options. Dolphin is the AI builder that automatically composes a site based on a few questions — easier but less flexible.
Embed works in both, but Creator gives you more control over position and size.
In the element inspector set the height manually higher (e.g. 600 px). Otherwise tooltips can overflow the container and get clipped.
Yes. Each image needs its own Widget/HTML element. Place it multiple times, each with the corresponding embed code.
Yes, the embed itself is responsive. In Jimdo, however, you need to open the mobile view in the editor separately and adjust the HTML element height if needed.
HTML is restricted in the Jimdo shop product description field. Workaround: create a separate "Lookbook" or "Inspiration" page, place the embed there, and link to it from the shop.
Marginally. The picpins script is asynchronous and does not block. Jimdo pages have their own performance profile — the additional embed does not stand out.
The embed code is platform-neutral. If you ever move from Jimdo to WordPress, Shopify, or another system, you copy the same code there. No hotspot migration needed — those live in your picpins account.
